What information do you need for a quotation?
We normally need the site location, type of business, approximate stock volume, storage format, preferred date and time, barcode availability and the report or output you require.
Do you cover the whole of the UK?
Yes. Express Stocktake provides stocktaking services throughout the UK, subject to team availability and the requirements of the project.
Can you count outside normal opening hours?
Yes. Counts can be scheduled during the day, in the evening or overnight where this is practical and agreed in advance.
Do you use barcode scanners?
We provide electronic stocktaking using handheld scanners where the inventory file and barcode labelling are suitable. We also offer manual counting when that is more appropriate.
How should we prepare for a stocktake?
Stock should be organised, accessible and clearly separated from excluded, returned, damaged or unprocessed goods. Barcode and stock-file issues should be identified early. We provide preparation guidance suited to your site.
Can you count stock in high warehouse racking?
Yes, provided safe access arrangements are agreed. The client would normally supply suitable authorised access equipment and trained operators.
What reports will we receive?
We provide clear, detailed same-day reports. Depending on the project, these may include product codes, descriptions, quantities, locations, prices, categories or conditions in a spreadsheet or another agreed format.
Can you support regular stocktakes?
Yes. We can discuss periodic arrangements such as monthly, quarterly, biannual or annual stocktakes.
Do you provide business transfer stock valuations?
Yes. This is one of our principal services. We provide independent physical counts for retail business transfers throughout the UK and issue a detailed, transparent report on the same day.
Do you provide pharmacy stocktaking?
Yes. We can count OTC, retail and other agreed pharmacy stock using an electronic, manual or combined method suited to the data and products available.
